Fire Officer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Fire Officer to support fire prevention, emergency readiness, and safety compliance at a thermal power generation plant in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and put into practice detailed fire safety and emergency response plans for the thermal power plant.
• Carry out routine fire hazard checks and safety inspections to spot risks early.
• Make sure all fire-related rules, codes, and standards are being followed.
• Plan and conduct fire drills, awareness sessions, and simulation exercises so employees know how to respond in an emergency.
• Oversee the upkeep and readiness of fire alarms, suppression systems, equipment, and related safety resources.
• Liaise with external emergency responders and agencies to strengthen response coordination.
• Review fire incidents, determine likely causes, and drive corrective measures to avoid repeat events.
• Maintain accurate reports, records, and compliance documentation for fire safety work.
• Keep track of evolving best practices, new tools, and advancements in fire safety.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Fire Science, Fire Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.

This role is based on-site at the thermal power generation plant in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India.
