Role summary
This is a full-time Finance and Accounts Administrator position based in Dublin and operating in a hybrid working setup. The role is intended for someone with solid accounting experience who can provide practical, day-to-day finance support across the group. It is a hands-on, delivery-oriented role best suited to candidates with experience in construction, property development, or real estate finance, especially where subcontractors, cash flow, and Irish Revenue compliance are involved. The successful candidate will work closely with the finance team and wider business, deal with internal queries, and support audits and compliance-related documentation when needed.
Key responsibilities
The role covers payables, cash management, treasury support, sales and income administration, tax compliance, and project accounting.
- Manage supplier and subcontractor processing, including creditor workflows and reconciliation activities.
- Keep a log of supplier queries and contribute to weekly review discussions.
- Reconcile supplier and subcontractor balances and maintain related master data.
- Ensure compliance with Revenue requirements and RCT obligations.
- Maintain daily group cashbooks and prepare weekly cashbook journals.
- Update tenant statements and residential rent schedules as required.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations across all group entities.
- Support accounts payable activities in a multinational setting.
- Prepare the weekly group cash flow report for management.
- Produce reconciled cash balance reports and handle intercompany transfers in line with facility agreements.
- Maintain the sales ledger, record cash receipts, and monitor professional fees on unit closings.
- Manage stakeholder accounts and prepare VAT invoices and unit completion statements.
- Prepare and file VAT returns and handle subcontractor Revenue notifications and submissions.
- Support statutory account preparation and maintain the fixed asset register.
- Reconcile key control accounts, including VAT, RCT, creditors, bank, and cash.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly drawdown reporting.
- Raise WIP recharge invoices, post RCT through ROS, and support service charge invoicing for residential and commercial properties.
- Assist with Group Local Property Tax compliance.
Required experience and skills
The ideal candidate should bring several years of relevant finance experience and a strong background in construction or property development accounting.
- At least 3 to 5+ years of experience in a similar finance or accounts role.
- Practical experience with VAT, RCT, cashbooks, reconciliations, and related controls.
- Solid knowledge of accounts payable work in a multinational environment.
- Experience in construction, project-based, or property development accounting.
- Strong Excel capability and confidence working with large data sets.
- Ability to manage multiple entities, competing priorities, and strict deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to compliance and accuracy.
- Good analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and process improvement experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of VAT and construction-related tax treatment, including RCT.
- Experience with ERP systems such as EQUE2, COINS, ABM, or SAP is highly desirable.
Additional information
This position is a permanent full-time role, subject to a 6-month probation period. The job is based in Dublin, Carrickmines, with hybrid working arrangements. The intended start is immediate.
