Role Overview
This Finance Administrator position is based in Ireland and involves close support to the Financial Director and Management Accountant. The role covers a wide range of finance and administrative responsibilities and suits someone who is comfortable handling varied tasks, working independently, and contributing to a small team with accuracy and ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Financial Director and Management Accountant with everyday finance operations and administrative work.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoices, bank reconciliations, and expense processing.
- Check supplier invoices and send them through the approval process.
- Carry out supplier reconciliations and support payment runs.
- Keep financial spreadsheets, database entries, and vendor and customer records current.
- Oversee and reconcile cash transactions, including receipts, payments, postings, allocations, and till reconciliations across all sites.
- Process reimbursements, assist with payroll-related tasks, and handle internal and external finance queries.
- Serve as a main contact for suppliers and work with other teams to resolve issues quickly.
- Provide support to the wider finance function and help with general office, project, and client-related tasks when needed.
Required Experience and Skills
- Hands-on background in finance administration, with experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and managing financial data.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and experience using accounting systems or online finance platforms.
- Exposure to NetSuite is beneficial.
- Well-organised, able to juggle several priorities while producing accurate and timely work.
- Professional communication style when dealing with colleagues, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Basic familiarity with Gen AI tools and an interest in using them to streamline finance administration and improve efficiency.
- Ability to break work into manageable steps, balance competing demands, and find practical solutions.
