Facility Management Engineer

Role overview

This role focuses on keeping building services running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. The Facility Management Engineer will oversee day-to-day facility operations, check the condition of critical building systems, address technical issues, and help maintain compliance with required safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the performance and upkeep of essential building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Carry out regular site checks to spot maintenance requirements early.
• Evaluate and sign off on technical submissions, drawings, and maintenance methods where required.
• Work with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to arrange repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
• Diagnose equipment or system breakdowns and suggest suitable corrective measures.
• Make sure all activities follow applicable safety rules, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards.
• Contribute to efforts that improve energy efficiency and support sustainability goals.
• Compile technical updates and keep records and documentation accurate and up to date.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facility Engineering is required.
• The role calls for 3 to 7 years of experience in facility operations or maintenance engineering.
• Applicants should have a solid understanding of building systems and established facility management practices.
• Hands-on experience with CAFM/CMMS platforms and engineering tools is expected.
• Strong analytical ability, communication skills, and a practical approach to problem-solving are important for success in this position.
