Role overview
This is a full-time remote opportunity for an entry-level software developer at Chak.Chakour-Entreprise. The position is focused on supporting the creation, improvement, and upkeep of software modules while working closely with experienced developers. It is a good fit for someone starting their career and looking for guidance, hands-on practice, and exposure to modern development workflows.
What you will do
- Build, test, and maintain software components with support from senior team members.
- Contribute to back-end services, APIs, and integration layers used by company products.
- Write clear, well-structured, and documented code.
- Review code written by teammates and help spot issues or improvements.
- Investigate bugs, troubleshoot technical problems, and verify fixes through testing.
- Join daily stand-ups and other team discussions to stay aligned on progress and priorities.
- Work with cross-functional colleagues to clarify requirements and turn them into small features or fixes.
- Learn and adapt to new tools, frameworks, and development practices as needed.
Skills and qualifications
- Solid grounding in computer science and software development basics, including algorithms, data structures, and design principles.
- Practical exposure to programming and object-oriented programming through study or hands-on work.
- Familiarity with at least one modern programming language such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
- Basic understanding of back-end development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
- Ability to pick up new technologies quickly and follow coding standards.
- Working knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and testing ability.
- Good written and spoken communication skills for remote collaboration.
- Comfort working in a distributed team environment.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field, or equivalent practical experience.
