About the team
The Internal Control group at ByteDance works on managing the risks and operational challenges that come with running a global business. The team partners with internal stakeholders to strengthen procedures and build controls that help protect business growth. In this role, you will gain exposure to ByteDance’s broad business ecosystem, learn how operations are organized, understand how resources are allocated, and contribute to the design of internal management processes.
What you will do
- Take part in company-wide workstreams focused on spotting risks, analyzing root causes, and improving control practices.
- Create or refine analysis tools and templates that make process reviews, approvals, and policy updates more efficient and effective.
- Carry out research and data-backed analysis to support management reporting, with attention to practicality, operational impact, and system feasibility.
- Work with teams across functions to investigate issues, identify underlying causes, and define action plans that strengthen the control environment.
- Keep up with industry best practices and contribute to continuous learning and improvement within the team.
Qualifications
This position calls for a candidate with a bachelor’s degree or higher, solid analytical capability, and the flexibility to perform well in a fast-moving environment. Strong English communication skills are important because the role supports the APAC region. The right person should demonstrate integrity, a proactive work ethic, a strong willingness to learn, and a results-focused mindset.
Preferred background
Having more than 3 years of experience in audit, internal control, or compliance within IDC is an advantage, especially with a sound understanding of data center business logic and associated risks. Experience in internet or technology multinational companies, or in consulting firms, is also preferred.
