Elevator Technician

Role overview

This is a full-time, on-site position for an Elevator Technician in Saudi Arabia. The selected person will keep elevator systems running safely and efficiently through planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, and prompt corrective work.

Core duties

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on elevators, including inspection, lubrication, calibration, and replacement of worn components.
• Identify mechanical and electrical issues, trace faults, and fix malfunctions quickly to reduce service interruptions.
• Attend service requests, perform safety inspections, and verify that equipment remains dependable in day-to-day use.
• Record maintenance activities, repairs, and service details accurately in logs and reports.
• Work with property managers and other contractors as needed to coordinate maintenance activities.
• Follow all required safety practices, site rules, and local regulatory requirements.
• Check that elevator operation remains aligned with manufacturer instructions, specifications, and applicable standards.

Qualifications and technical expectations

• Hands-on capability in elevator servicing, routine checks, preventive upkeep, and part replacement.
• Experience diagnosing issues in mechanical systems and control circuits used in elevators.
• Practical exposure to elevator equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial environments.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems and basic electronics as they relate to elevator panels and safety circuits.
• Ability to carry out repair work safely, use tools properly, read manuals, and follow work instructions.
• Vocational or technical diploma/certification in electrical, mechanical, or elevator technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong commitment to safety standards, including correct use of PPE and adherence to site procedures.
• Ability to understand technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer documents.
• Clear communication skills for dealing with supervisors, colleagues, and building personnel.
• Physical readiness to work at heights, in confined areas, and handle tools and parts as required.
