Electrical Estimator

Role Overview

Go-Fix Mechanical & Drainage Services is hiring an Electrical Estimator to support project pricing and tender preparation for construction and mechanical services work in Bracknell, England. The position focuses on producing accurate electrical estimates from drawings, specifications, and supplier input.

Key Responsibilities

• Build detailed electrical cost estimates using project drawings and technical specifications.
• Carry out quantity take-offs for materials, labour, and equipment requirements.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to collect the information needed for bids and pricing.
• Assess quotations from subcontractors and suppliers to confirm they are complete and correct.
• Spot opportunities to reduce costs and suggest value-engineering alternatives where suitable.
• Stay current on market rates, electrical standards, and applicable regulations.

Requirements

• Demonstrated background as an Electrical Estimator, ideally within construction or mechanical services.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, components, and installation practices.
• Ability to interpret drawings and technical documents accurately.
• Comfort using estimation tools and project management software.
• Strong analytical ability, communication skills, and negotiation capability.
• Qualifications in electrical engineering, construction, or a related discipline are an advantage.
