Role Overview
This position focuses on electrical engineering design, on-site supervision, and delivering installation, testing, and commissioning work to completion. You will also work closely with ACMV, BMS, and other project stakeholders to keep delivery on track and maintain quality standards.
Core Duties
- Take ownership of electrical design work, including shop drawings and supporting technical documents.
- Manage and coordinate on-site installation, cabling, testing, and commissioning activities for electrical systems.
- Make sure all work follows project requirements, applicable standards, and statutory rules.
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other engineering teams to close out site and technical issues.
- Assess and sign off material submissions, method statements, and equipment specifications.
- Track progress, workmanship quality, and site safety across electrical works.
- Offer technical support and day-to-day guidance to junior engineers and site personnel.
- Compile progress reports, as-built records, and handover documentation.
Requirements
- A Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent related qualification.
- 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering for large building or industrial projects; candidates with longer experience may be considered for a senior role.
- Strong working knowledge of low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical systems, including design, installation, and commissioning.
- Exposure to BMS coordination and integration with other M&E systems.
- Good understanding of Singapore regulations, codes, standards, and authority submission processes.
- Comfortable using electrical design tools, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities.
- Must be able to work on site in Tuas and handle several priorities at once.
- Willing to work in the Tuas area, with transport pickup available from designated MRT stations.
Work Location
The role is based onsite in Tuas, Singapore.
Additional Information
This is a full-time position. Transport pickup is available at selected MRT stations for staff assigned to the Tuas work location.
