Day Porter

Role overview

ABM is hiring a dependable and seasoned Day Porter in Valdosta, Georgia to help keep assigned facilities clean, hygienic, and well organized. The position supports the overall look and sanitation of the workplace, helping create a better environment for staff, clients, and guests.

What you will do

• Carry out regular cleaning work such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and other surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, restock supplies, and help maintain proper hygiene standards.
• Remove trash and recycling and handle waste in line with company procedures.
• Wash windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
• Keep cleaning tools and supplies in proper condition and storage.
• Inform a supervisor about maintenance concerns, safety issues, or low supply levels.
• Support setup and cleanup activities for meetings, events, or special assignments when needed.
• Follow all safety rules and sanitation-related company procedures.

What we are looking for

• Prior work in janitorial, custodial, or other general cleaning positions is an advantage.
• Ability to work on your own and use time efficiently.
• Comfort with cleaning products, equipment, and workplace safety practices.
• Careful attention to detail and a strong focus on doing quality work.
• High school completion or an equivalent credential is preferred.
