Data Science Intern

About the role

This opportunity is for a motivated Data Science Intern to support a collaborative, solutions-focused data science team. The position is well suited to someone who enjoys turning data into practical business outcomes and can contribute effectively in a remote setup that aligns with US working hours.

What you'll do

• Support the creation and rollout of data-backed approaches that address business challenges.
• Work with both structured and unstructured data, including cleaning, preparing, and analyzing datasets.
• Assist in developing and testing machine learning models with guidance from senior team members.
• Perform exploratory analysis and turn findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Partner with engineering, product, and business teams to move projects forward.
• Help build and maintain data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting outputs.
• Record processes, methods, and results in a clear and organized manner.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Solid working knowledge of Python, including Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts such as regression, classification, and clustering.
• Hands-on familiarity with visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, or similar libraries.
• Comfortable using SQL and interacting with databases.
• Strong analytical ability and a structured approach to problem-solving.
• Able to work remotely while overlapping with US time zones.

Preferred background

• Exposure to deep learning tools such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience using cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Awareness of applied data science use cases like recommendation systems, NLP, or forecasting.
• Prior internship or project exposure in analytics or data science.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control tools.

Location and schedule
