Overview
A reputed multinational client in Gurgaon is hiring a Data Engineer - Quality for a remote work setup. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys building automation, improving data controls, and working on data quality solutions that support operational review and remediation.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and enhance a Python-based utility that automates how quality checks are configured for vendor data sources.
- Use large language models, dataset documentation, and machine learning methods to identify important fields and determine suitable thresholds for quality validation.
- Set up checks inside a proprietary data quality platform for new feeds and periodically fine-tune thresholds for existing controls.
- Partner with Data Managers and Software Engineers to understand datasets, review current checks, and improve overall check coverage across the platform.
- Create dashboards that track data quality coverage and compliance.
- Work with engineering colleagues to clarify requirements and resolve implementation questions.
Technical Requirements
- At least 3 to 5 years of software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience developing enterprise solutions in Python.
- Practical use of Pandas and data transformation logic for analytics or data science workflows.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Preferred exposure to AWS technologies, including Kubernetes, S3, and Trino.
Work Details
The position is remote/work from home and aligned to UK working hours from 01:00 PM to 09:00 PM. Candidates should be willing to join immediately or with a notice period of up to 30 days only.
