Role Overview
MACH CONSULTANTS is seeking an experienced Data Analyst for Smart Meters in Doha, Qatar. This full-time onsite role focuses on building and supporting data systems that power smart utility metering operations, analytics, and monitoring.
Experience and Openings
- Total experience required: 9 to 12 years.
- Number of vacancies: 3.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and support scalable data infrastructure for smart utility metering platforms.
- Create and oversee dependable data pipelines that consolidate information from several sources into a central metering environment.
- Maintain strong data quality, consistency, uptime, and processing performance for analytics and monitoring users.
- Design, fine-tune, and manage databases built to store and process large volumes of utility metering data.
- Handle both streaming and scheduled/batch data processing needs.
- Work closely with IT, cybersecurity, and operations teams to keep data moving securely and reliably across systems.
- Track platform health and quickly address pipeline errors, slowdowns, and interruptions.
- Prepare and update documentation covering architecture, workflows, and day-to-day operating procedures.
- Ensure alignment with IT governance practices, information security controls, and ISO standards.
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning and business continuity readiness for data platforms.
- Take on additional tasks as directed by management.
Education and Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline is required.
- Certification in a cloud or data engineering track such as AWS, Azure, or GCP will be considered an advantage.
Required Skills
- Solid experience in designing and developing data pipelines.
- Working knowledge of databases and big data tools such as Hadoop and Spark.
- Ability to analyze issues, troubleshoot effectively, and improve system performance.
- Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is beneficial.

This position is based in Doha, Qatar and is offered on a full-time onsite basis.
