Role overview
This position sits within PepsiCo’s finance and control environment in Riyadh and focuses on strengthening reporting, compliance, and financial governance across distribution and commercial operations. The role supports monthly close activities, cash and bank reconciliations, AR analysis, control testing, and review of key financial transactions. It also partners with sales, supply chain, and other business teams to improve profitability, ensure policy compliance, and support decision-making through dashboards, KPI tracking, and performance analysis.

Core responsibilities
- Check and authorize CCPFs, ensuring they are accurate and compliant.
- Confirm that daily cash reconciliation is completed for all collections.
- Guide and monitor the day-to-day closing process for the DC finance team.
- Keep D&A-approved budgets updated correctly in the system.
- Examine and sign off on D&A provisions and related reporting.
- Circulate activity sheets to the relevant stakeholders and maintain accountability.
- Review sales commissions and incentive payments before processing.
- Approve employee deductions in line with company rules and regulations.
- Study monthly customer payments, share overdue balances with sales, and ensure follow-up.
- Approve monthly accruals, including BDP, D&A, stales reserve, and sales commissions.
- Validate sales cut-off controls to support accurate AR recognition.
- Review bank reconciliations for main and collection accounts.
- Approve cash and petty cash reconciliations to safeguard accuracy.
- Support the Commercial Controller with D&A and A&R status updates.
- Share timely AR, D&A, and revenue analysis with management.
- Review customer credit notes for correctness and policy compliance.
- Carry out quarterly control testing, identify exceptions, and document remediation actions.
- Act as a key finance contact for sales and help align processes across geographies.
- Review T&E items under SOA guidelines.
- Approve PRs and POs.
- Approve changes to customer master data, including new entries and amendments.
- Ensure that all assigned activities comply with PepsiCo policies.
- Support and motivate the Finance team in UAE and recognize team contributions.
- Work with Sales leadership and support functions to meet targets while following policies and procedures.
- Advise management on insurance protection needs, including Fidelity Guarantee Insurance and cash coverage.
- Coordinate with Sales to ensure spending quality, timing, and execution follow policy and process.
- Recommend process improvements in D&A where needed.
- Perform COSO testing for assigned controls.
- Approve employee payments.
- Approve supplier payments.
- Assess control risks, process them, and recommend updates to policies and procedures.
- Coordinate auditor requirements with the Commercial Controller for the assigned scope.
- Track weekly NR by channel and mix for the market.
- Evaluate ad hoc and innovation P&Ls for commercial initiatives and campaigns before launch, including all related costs.
- Measure post-campaign and initiative ROI across financial and non-financial indicators.
- Monitor stales by brand, initiative, and location, and escalate issues to business teams for action.
- Partner with functions to improve profitability by channel and pack.
- Track transaction performance by channel, brand, and PP on a monthly basis.
- Review market execution KPIs and highlight opportunities such as distribution, reach by SKU, DRA, zero-sales customers, and credit utilization.
- Assess OT promo performance and suggest ways to balance DOP and frequency.
- Review TT trade spend and activations with ROI analysis.
- Lead pack price initiatives and NRM ideation and execution for the market.
- Evaluate CDA and key account agreements before circulation for approval.
- Analyze channel P&Ls in depth, identify improvement opportunities, and support better CTS through D&A actions.
- Study route profitability and related channel costing as part of the North Star exercise.
- Review brand and PP P&Ls to improve margins and provide benchmark insights.
- Track racks inventory, utilization, and ROI.
- Monitor S&D monthly spend by cost element to identify opportunities.
- Lead bottom-up S&D build-up inputs for forecast and AOP exercises.
- Partner with business and transformation teams to identify and deliver productivity improvements.
- Support bottom-up forecast and AOP inputs for volume, revenue, and D&A from the finance side.
- Track A&M budgets, including activity status and committed versus uncommitted portions.
- Ensure DAPLR accuracy across key business dimensions.
Qualifications and experience
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate well with cross-functional teams and senior leaders.
- Excellent coordination ability across functions and with the finance planning team.
- Solid financial modeling and analytical capability.
- Comfortable working under pressure and committed to meeting deadlines.
- Preferably holds an MBA, CPA, CIMA, CA, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification.
- 3 to 4 years of FMCG experience in a related area.
