Job purpose
This role is responsible for planning and rolling out project management activities effectively while also overseeing clinical operations for assigned studies. The aim is to keep clinical research activities running smoothly and in line with project expectations.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for sponsors tied to the assigned studies.
- Coordinate and guide cross-functional team leads, along with external vendors and third parties.
- Handle contractual project deliverables, including milestone payment tracking and insurance qualification matters.
- Monitor project scope and costs in a timely way to reduce financial risk.
- Make sure all project work follows company SOPs, policies, and internal guidelines.
- Ensure the project follows Tigermed systems and processes such as CTMS, OA, and eTMF, and escalate issues to the relevant functional or operational managers when needed.
- Take part proactively in bid defense activities.
- Provide training to project team members and help build an effective team.
- Share feedback on project team performance with the appropriate line managers.
Qualifications and requirements
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in Medicine, Pharmacology, Biology, or a related field. A college diploma may also be considered if the applicant can demonstrate strong personal qualities and relevant project management experience.
The role requires solid knowledge of modern drug development processes and regulations, including local rules, GCP, and clinical trial operations. A current GCP certificate is mandatory. Business-oriented skills such as budgeting and commercial awareness are considered an advantage.
Applicants should bring at least 10 years of industry experience, including a minimum of 6 years in project management experience in Australia. Prior CRO experience is preferred. Candidates with exceptional project management achievements may also be considered.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office is essential, along with excellent project management and time management skills.
