Position Overview
This role supports the Army Community Service (ACS) Information and Referral Program at Kleber Barracks in Kaiserslautern. The specialist acts as a central resource for ACS and community-related information, helping both new arrivals and long-term residents find the guidance, services, and updates they need.
Work Location
Building 3210, Kleber Kaserne, Kaiserslautern, Germany.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main contact for people looking for ACS and wider community information.
- Share timely, accurate details about community services, events, programs, facilities, and support resources.
- Help newcomers settle in by directing them to essential services, education options, recreational opportunities, and local amenities.
- Work in coordination with the ACS team so information shared with the community remains consistent and complete.
- Stay informed about the local area, available resources, and any changes or new developments that may affect community members.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain detailed information clearly.
- A service-oriented mindset and genuine interest in helping people improve their community experience.
- Experience or familiarity with military community services and resources is beneficial.
- Awareness of cultural differences and the ability to respond to diverse community needs with sensitivity.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive working relationships with coworkers and outside partners.
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a team.
