Role Overview
Madre Integrated Engineering is seeking a Civil Technician to support inspection, maintenance, testing, and reporting activities across civil assets and infrastructure. The role focuses on evaluating site conditions, carrying out field and material tests, and helping ensure that civil works meet project and quality expectations.
Qualifications
- A diploma in Civil Engineering or a comparable qualification is required.
- At least 3 years of experience is needed in civil construction, maintenance, or infrastructure work within power plants, utilities, oil and gas, industrial facilities, or heavy construction environments.
- Applicants should have a solid grasp of engineering drawings, site layouts, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and planning for civil maintenance.
- Practical knowledge of testing concrete, soil, aggregates, and asphalt, along with structural inspections, defect analysis, and ASTM-based quality control, is expected.
- The candidate must be able to carry out field tests, assess structures, collect material samples, and prepare engineering reports, specifications, and maintenance advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine civil structures, identify defects, evaluate structural condition, and recommend or perform repairs as needed.
- Interpret engineering drawings, develop site layouts, prepare specifications and estimates, and contribute to civil engineering works.
- Carry out quality checks and field testing on concrete, asphalt, soil, aggregates, and structural materials in line with ASTM standards.
- Measure material quantities, perform bearing capacity and concrete strength tests, and take samples to verify project and quality compliance.
