Role Overview
Manappuram Finance Ltd. is hiring a Chief Risk Officer to strengthen enterprise-wide risk governance. The position is intended for a Manager-level professional or above and will be based in Thrissur, India.

Manappuram Finance Ltd. is a major Indian NBFC with roots dating back to 1949 in Valapad, Thrissur district. What began as a small-scale pawn broking and money lending business grew significantly after Shri V.P. Nandakumar took charge in 1986. Incorporated in 1992, the company now operates more than 5,200 branches across 28 states and union territories, manages assets under management of Rs 420.69 billion, and employs over 50,000 people.
Role Details
- Designation level: Manager and above
- Education: MBA or any degree; CCRO/CERA is preferred
- Experience needed: 2 to 3 years in risk management, with insurance experience preferred
- Compensation: INR 1.5 lakh per month
Key Responsibilities
- Own the organization’s overall risk management function, including information security risk oversight.
- Create, refine, and roll out risk policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Carry out regular risk reviews and define practical mitigation plans.
- Work closely with the CISO on security-related risks, controls, and initiatives.
- Take part in information security awareness activities, assessments, and escalation handling.
- Represent the risk function in the Control Management Committee.
- Prepare updates for the Board and provide support to the Risk Committee.
- Track projects through a risk lens and flag potential exposures early.
- Drive ongoing enhancement of risk frameworks and control practices.
Eligibility
Applicants should hold any graduate degree; candidates with MBA or related risk certifications are preferred. Relevant experience in risk management is required, and exposure to the insurance sector will be an added advantage.
