About Curana Health

Curana Health is focused on improving the health, happiness, and dignity of older adults. The company is a national value-based care organization serving senior living communities and skilled nursing facilities with services such as on-site primary care, Accountable Care Organizations, and Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plans. Since launching in 2021, it has expanded rapidly to support more than 200,000 seniors in 1,500+ communities across 32 states, with a team of over 1,000 clinicians and many other professionals working together to deliver proactive care solutions.

Role Summary

The Business Intelligence Analyst will partner with teams across the organization to strengthen reporting, dashboards, and standardized tools that support daily operations. This role is responsible for turning business needs into dependable, scalable analytics solutions, improving adoption, supporting change management, and helping the business achieve measurable results. It will also help Curana Health keep pace with growing analytics demand, protect timelines, improve reporting quality and consistency, and lower operational risk.

What the Role Will Do

  • Maintain and improve core SQL Server data assets so they stay accurate, structured, and ready to scale.
  • Work with project managers and business stakeholders to define requirements, align metric definitions, and deliver standardized solutions.
  • Design and refine interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that help leaders track performance and act on insights.
  • Spot delivery and technical risks, suggest practical paths forward, and help prioritize work to remove blockers.
  • Support evaluations of tools and products through fit-gap analysis, proof-of-concepts, and recommendations on reporting and data architecture.
  • Look for ways to improve systems, workflows, and reporting processes by assessing what is working and applying targeted enhancements.

Qualifications

The company is hiring two BI Analysts for its Analytics & Reporting Corporate team and will consider applicants from recent graduates with relevant internship or co-op experience up to professionals with about five years of related analytics experience.

  • A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, technical, or analytically oriented discipline such as analytics, business analytics, data science, statistics, computer science, software engineering, information systems, MIS, IT, informatics, business intelligence, economics, finance, or accounting.
  • Practical understanding of SQL gained through coursework, projects, or work experience.
  • Hands-on experience creating dashboards and data visualizations in Power BI, with Tableau accepted as an alternative; entry-level applicants may demonstrate this through coursework or projects.
  • Strong Excel ability, along with working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint and Word.
  • Solid analytical and critical-thinking skills, plus a strong focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Comfort working across teams and helping support adoption and change management.
  • Exposure to healthcare data concepts and privacy expectations is an advantage.

Preferred Background

  • Experience working with healthcare-related data such as claims, eligibility, provider information, EHR/EMR extracts, revenue cycle data, or quality measures.
  • Prior exposure to healthcare settings such as senior care, provider organizations, payers, or health tech is strongly preferred, though candidates with a genuine interest in healthcare and the ability to learn quickly will also be considered.
  • Familiarity with data modeling or ETL/ELT concepts through academic work, internships, or similar experience.

Equal Opportunity and Sponsorship

Curana Health follows equal employment opportunity principles and states that hiring and employment decisions are made without discrimination based on protected characteristics under applicable federal, state, and local laws. The company also notes that it cannot provide visa sponsorship at this time, including H-1B sponsorship.

Additional Information

Curana Health highlights its rapid growth and industry recognition, including placement on the Inc. 5000 list as one of the fastest-growing privately owned companies in the nation, with additional rankings in the Healthcare & Medical category and in Texas.
