Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site position in Bhubaneswar for a Business Development Executive. The role is centered on finding and assessing new business opportunities, researching prospective clients, creating leads through multiple outreach channels, and building a strong sales funnel. You will meet clients, deliver presentations, understand business needs, and recommend service solutions aligned with Scalemate’s growth and transformation offerings. The position also requires you to manage client relationships, coordinate with internal teams for smooth delivery, keep detailed records in CRM or similar tools, and support revenue growth through consistent follow-up and target achievement.
Key Duties
- Research and identify potential clients and business opportunities.
- Generate leads using different outreach methods and develop a healthy sales pipeline.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and discovery discussions to understand requirements.
- Prepare customized proposals and pitch suitable service offerings.
- Manage existing client accounts and work to improve retention, satisfaction, and account growth.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure projects and services are delivered on time.
- Maintain accurate activity, lead, and progress records in CRM or other tracking systems.
- Follow up with prospects regularly and work toward sales and performance targets.
- Share market observations and performance updates with leadership.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience or proven capability in new business development and lead generation.
- Strong account management and client relationship-building skills.
- Good understanding of business fundamentals, especially in services for startups, MSMEs, or similar advisory settings.
- Clear verbal and written communication, with strong presentation and active listening abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Willingness and ability to work on-site in Bhubaneswar and meet defined goals and KPIs.
- Comfort using CRM systems, MS Office or Google Workspace, and basic sales reporting/forecasting tools.
- Previous exposure to B2B sales, consulting, or financial/strategic advisory work is an added advantage.
