Role overview
This contractual bookkeeper position supports the organization’s accounting and records management needs. The role centers on keeping financial documents orderly, maintaining books of accounts, and helping with day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration tasks throughout the contract term.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and structure digital files in cloud-based storage tools such as Google Drive so authorized users can find documents quickly and easily.
- Support expense monitoring by ensuring receipts and invoices are properly captured and logged for accurate financial records.
- Update the manual books of accounts as required.
- Keep both paper-based and electronic filing systems organized for invoices, receipts, reports, and other financial records.
- Enter transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Engagement period
This assignment is expected to run for 4 to 6 months.
Minimum qualifications
- Background in accounting, bookkeeping, and document handling.
- Experience using cloud storage platforms such as Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, or comparable tools.
- Working knowledge of manual bookkeeping and upkeep of financial records.
- Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational discipline.
- Fast and accurate data entry skills.
- Ability to protect confidential information and manage sensitive records with care.
- Must be available for a contractual engagement lasting 4 to 6 months.
