Role overview
We are seeking a Benefits Specialist for a partner organization in the United States. This role is focused on supporting employees across the full spectrum of benefits administration, from health and retirement plans to wellness offerings and leave programs. The position serves as a key employee contact for benefits questions, making sure people receive accurate guidance, timely help, and clear communication.
The job requires careful handling of data, strong ownership of HR systems, and dependable service in a fast-moving HR setting. You will work closely with HR colleagues on enrollment cycles, policy changes, employee outreach, and reporting. It is a detail-heavy role that combines administrative precision with frequent interaction with employees.
Accountabilities
- Act as the main contact for employee questions about medical coverage, retirement plans, leave rules, wellness benefits, and related programs.
- Track, route, and resolve requests in HR ticketing tools, escalating complex matters when necessary.
- Complete enrollments, terminations, and benefit plan updates with accuracy and within required timelines.
- Keep employee benefits records current inside HR information systems.
- Help create and share employee communications about benefit offerings, enrollment steps, and policy updates.
- Prepare reports and review benefits data to support HR planning and operational decisions.
- Maintain accurate benefit policy documentation and ensure materials stay aligned.
- Support open enrollment activities, employee events, and other HR projects as needed.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in HR, benefits administration, or a similar human resources role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related subject, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Solid knowledge of employee benefits, HR policies, and applicable employment regulations.
- Practical experience using HRIS and benefits administration platforms.
- Strong analytical ability and careful data handling with a high level of accuracy.
- Clear communication and strong people skills, paired with a service-oriented approach.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
- A detail-focused working style with strong organization.
- Preferred background in manufacturing settings and/or HR certifications or advanced HR study.
