What you will do

• Help people plan and structure their daily routines and activities.
• Support individuals as they take part in their local community.
• Assist with education, personal development, and progress toward individual goals.
• Encourage and build independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, and maintaining family and social relationships.
• Work in line with company policies, procedures, standards, regulations, and relevant codes of practice.
• Adapt to flexible shift patterns within a 24/7 service environment.
• Carry out additional duties that are appropriate to the position when required.

Candidate profile

The ideal applicant will be compassionate, motivated, and committed to supporting people to live more independently and with greater fulfilment. Experience in a support role is helpful but not mandatory, and relevant life experience will also be considered.

Additional information

This is a frontline, full-time onsite position in Birr, County Offaly. No formal qualification is needed because training and ongoing development are provided. A full driving licence is required, or you must already be actively working toward obtaining one. The role also calls for flexibility, reliability, strong communication, and good interpersonal skills. Pay is stated as per company scale.
