Role overview
This position sits in the External Brands team and is responsible for supporting the trading and merchandising of products from external brands sold through luxury partner store shoe departments.
What you will do
- Use stock and sales analysis to spot trading actions and opportunities.
- Manage forward forecasts for core and continuity lines, including recommending re-orders and stock control measures.
- Build and sustain effective supplier relationships through ongoing communication and regular meetings.
- Partner with brands to arrange in-season repeats and resolve slower-selling stock issues.
- Coordinate stock intake into the warehouse with Buying, Distribution, and brand contacts, and oversee returns of slow-moving stock back through the supply chain.
- Assess and propose promotional activity for Merchandiser review and approval.
- Lead mid-season trading reviews and present findings by brand, price point, category, and location to shape future buying decisions.
- Prepare ad hoc analysis for Buying and Merchandising teams, often under tight deadlines.
- Support, coach, and develop one Merchandise Admin Assistant while managing workload effectively.
- Carry out regular store visits to gather retail feedback, review product presentation in-store, and identify trading opportunities and stock risks.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about merchandising in a fashion setting, has previous experience as an Assistant Merchandiser, and is comfortable working with numbers. A collaborative approach and strong teamwork are essential.
