About the Role
Shangri-La Jeddah is located on the new Jeddah Waterfront beside the Red Sea and offers a luxury hospitality setting with sea-facing interiors, family-friendly facilities, and a range of dining options. The property includes 203 rooms and suites, 17 serviced apartments, 5 restaurants and lounges including Shang Palace, convenient access to major Jeddah landmarks and Red Sea Mall, and 116 privately owned Burj Assila Residences with access to The Wellness Club.
The Assistant IT Manager supports the daily running of the hotel’s technology environment and works closely with the IT Manager to keep the department operating smoothly. The role also contributes to hardware upkeep, incident response, and safeguarding data and system security.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the reliable operation of core hotel applications and connected hardware, including Opera PMS, Infrasys POS, Call Accounting System, Check EAM, and messaging tools.
- Respond to employee technology issues involving both equipment and software systems.
- Make sure standard IT operating procedures and checklists are followed, including any newly introduced requirements.
- Build, improve, and enhance application systems that support daily work across departments and improve hotel operations.
- Look for practical ways to strengthen IT processes and share recommendations with management.
- Model Shangri-La’s guiding principles and core values in day-to-day work.
- Support environmental responsibility by reducing waste, reusing materials where possible, and recycling whenever suitable.
- Follow the company’s CSR policies, procedures, guidelines, rules, and related government CSR initiatives relevant to the role.
- Apply CSR requirements consistently in decisions and activities to help the hotel achieve its CSR objectives.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a senior analyst or programmer in a large organization.
- A degree in Computer Science.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Fluent communication skills in both English and Arabic.
- Self-driven with strong leadership presence and excellent communication skills.
