Role overview
Amazon is looking for an Inbound Area Manager to support operations at a Fulfillment Center in Bengaluru. The role sits within a company that aims to be highly customer-focused and manages the movement of millions of products for customers worldwide.
What the role focuses on
You will be accountable for the core operational priorities of your department: safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity. A major part of the job is ensuring that daily output targets are met while keeping the shift efficient and well-balanced.
Key responsibilities
- Study work forecasts and translate them into daily productivity requirements to help the building meet its objectives.
- Work closely with other Area Managers to allocate labor effectively and maintain a balanced, productive shift.
- Champion safety initiatives and support OSHA compliance so associates work in a safe environment.
- Spot opportunities for improvement early and drive process-enhancement efforts using Lean methods and tools.
Leadership and performance expectations
The position calls for hands-on management of employee performance and strong comfort with performance metrics and process improvement methods, including understanding what to do, when to do it, and who should do it.
Working schedule
Candidates need to be available for regular weekend work and/or overnight shifts.
Qualifications
Applicants should have at least 2 years of experience in performance metrics, process improvement, or Lean techniques. A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification is required.
Preferred experience
Additional value is given to candidates with 1 or more years of experience in performance metrics, process improvement, or Lean techniques.
