Company Overview
Newton Denny Chapelle is an established and well-regarded consultancy with offices in Lismore, Casuarina and Woolgoolga. The business is looking for an upbeat and organised Administration Officer to support the team from its Lismore head office. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys helping a busy professional environment run smoothly and delivering dependable administrative support.
Role Summary
This is a broad, fast-moving administrative position covering reception, office support and coordination tasks across the business. You will help keep communication flowing, records organised and day-to-day office operations on track.
Key Duties
- Handle front-desk reception work and general office administration, including answering calls, sorting mail, filing documents and opening new job files.
- Maintain the accounting system, including preparing and sending invoices.
- Support the Town Planning, Engineering and Survey teams with administrative tasks when needed.
- Assist with applications through the NSW Planning Portal as required.
- Manage and route correspondence across several email inboxes.
- Prepare, format and issue letters, reports and quotations.
- Update internal databases and keep records accurate.
- Organise stationery and pantry supplies.
- Manage phone subscriptions.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will be a confident administrator who can stay organised in a busy setting and present a professional, approachable manner.
- Prior experience in administration is preferred; experience in property development or local government is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational ability and strong attention to detail.
- Comfort working on several tasks at once while remaining calm under pressure.
- Good time management and a proactive approach to daily work.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office and standard corporate software.
- A friendly, professional and cheerful attitude.
