Accounts Payable Accountant

Role Overview

As part of the finance function, this role supports smooth day-to-day financial operations by handling payable activities, keeping expenses under control, and ensuring records stay accurate and up to date. It also includes financial, clerical, and administrative support across routine accounting tasks.

Key Accountabilities

The position is centered on managing the accounts payable workflow end to end, so invoices are processed correctly and on time, suppliers are handled professionally, and payment-related records remain complete and reliable. The accountant will oversee outgoing payments and other routine transactions, prepare reports promptly, manage cash-related activities, and maintain trade payables, intercompany payables, and general ledger entries.

Support is also expected during month-end close activities, internal and external audits, and the preparation of year-end reports. Additional administrative tasks may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• A four-year bachelor’s degree in Accountancy is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a comparable accounting position is needed.
• Strong precision in data entry and a sharp eye for detail are important.
• Good interpersonal communication skills are necessary for working with internal teams and vendors.
• The candidate should be well organized, careful, and consistent in maintaining accuracy.
• Self-motivation, the ability to work independently, and multitasking capability are essential.
• The role requires the ability to work to deadlines.

This is a full-time onsite position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
