Medicon Health Care Private Limited is a pharmaceutical exporter founded in 1999. The business serves both overseas and domestic markets in India and exports to more than 30 countries globally.

Role overview

The organization is looking for a senior-level accountant with strong hands-on knowledge of export paperwork and financial control. This position combines day-to-day accounting with the preparation of monthly financial reports that support business planning and decision-making.

Export documentation and logistics

• Prepare both pre-shipment and post-shipment paperwork, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and shipping lines to obtain Bill of Lading (BL) and carting orders.
• Monitor and process claims for ROSCTL and duty drawback benefits in line with applicable government rules.
• Make sure export operations comply with DGFT and customs requirements.

Accounting and financial reporting

• Handle daily bookkeeping, data entry, and maintenance of financial records.
• Prepare monthly financial statements such as profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Support year-end account finalization and work with auditors during the closing process.
• Carry out detailed reconciliations for bank, vendor, and customer ledgers.
• Ensure GST and TDS compliance, including preparation of data and periodic filing.
• Use accounting systems such as Tally, MARG, and Zoho Books for routine accounting work.

Banking and foreign exchange

• Manage export-related banking submissions, including tracking of BRC and e-BRC documents.
• Follow inward foreign remittances and maintain exchange-rate related documentation.

Preferred profile

The ideal candidate should have strong professional writing skills for email communication with banks, freight partners, and international customers. Good working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets, as well as Google Docs or Microsoft Word, especially for dashboards and pivot tables, will be an added advantage. A solid understanding of the export process from invoicing through remittance is important.

Any graduate with at least 2 years of accounting experience in an export company can apply.

Additional information

This role requires strong software proficiency in accounting applications. Prior experience with preparing profit and loss statements and balance sheets is essential. The job is based in Navi Mumbai, India.
