3rd Shift Sanitation

Role Overview

This position focuses on keeping production and plant areas clean, sanitized, and ready for safe operation during the third shift. The work involves detailed cleaning of equipment, work surfaces, and surrounding spaces across multiple areas of the facility.

Key Duties

• Clean and sanitize production lines, equipment, floors, and walls.
• Take equipment apart and put it back together as needed to complete sanitization.
• Operate high-pressure water and air hoses throughout the cleaning process.
• Use cleaning chemicals, steam-cleaning equipment, and related tools to support sanitation work.
• Remove product buildup from floors and surrounding areas.
• Work across the plant in areas such as grinding, blending, forming, and packing, and also perform outdoor trash pickup when required.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is preferred. A comparable mix of education and experience that enables successful performance of the role may also be considered.

• Must be capable of standing, reaching, handling, and feeling continuously throughout the shift.
• Must be able to walk, lift, carry, push, and pull on a frequent basis.
• Must occasionally work overhead and perform twisting, ladder or stair climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Climbing, bending forward, kneeling, and crawling are part of the work.
• Use of a hip or backpack vacuum is required.
• Frequent reaching, grasping, pushing, and pulling are expected.
• Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 60+ lbs, with team lifting used when necessary, including items that may need to be moved overhead.
• Tasks involve repeated bending, lifting, and arm movements.
• High-pressure hose work may last up to 4 hours per night while using a ball-valve-style nozzle.
