Trainee Audiology Practitioner

Role overview

Specsavers is looking for a Trainee Audiology Practitioner to join the team in Kilkenny. In this role, you will support the store in helping customers access hearing care more quickly and effectively. The position is designed as a training pathway, with guidance from a Hearing Aid Dispenser (HAD) and the opportunity to develop into other roles within the store or the wider business after completing training.

Work location

The role is based in the large Kilkenny store in Market Cross Shopping Centre. The location is central and offers easy access to nearby shops as well as strong public transport connections.

You will be joining a welcoming store team made up of dedicated colleagues who are ready to support your development.

What is offered

The package includes structured support, learning opportunities, and a range of employee benefits. The starting salary is up to €29,511 pro rata, depending on experience, and this increases once the training period is successfully completed. The role is scheduled over 4 days each week, including weekend work. You will also receive 30 days of leave per year, inclusive of bank holidays, pro rata.

Training and progression

You do not need a degree or specific qualifications to join this programme. The role is intended for someone who wants to learn, build capability, and progress with support. Training is provided to completion, and there may be opportunities to move into other positions within the store or the wider company afterwards.

Candidate profile

To be successful in this role, you should have strong written and spoken English so that you can communicate clearly with customers and colleagues. A genuine interest in learning and self-improvement is important, along with a desire to develop your skills further. Familiarity with patient management systems is helpful, but it is not essential.
