Solar Installation Engineer

About the Role

We are hiring a technically strong Solar Installation Engineer with over 2 years of hands-on experience in executing rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects. The role calls for someone who can manage site manpower effectively, keep installation work on track, and coordinate in a clear, supportive, and professional manner to meet project timelines.

About the Company

The organization works across industrial, commercial, and residential construction projects, along with complete statutory approval and liaison support. Its services cover approvals from CMDA, DTCP, the Inspector of Factories, Fire Department, Health Department, TNPCB, local panchayats, and other authorities. It also handles documentation, application submissions, inspection follow-up, NOC acquisition, licensing, building plan approvals, and turnkey construction delivery with compliance and timely execution.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and oversee installation work for rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems as per project drawings, technical requirements, and industry norms.
• Direct installation crews and make sure all work is carried out safely, productively, and within the approved schedule.
• Visit sites, evaluate conditions, and identify the technical inputs needed before installation starts.
• Carry out installation, inspection, and commissioning of solar PV systems, including structures, modules, inverters, wiring, and related electrical parts.
• Liaise with project managers, customers, subcontractors, and vendors to keep execution smooth and coordinated.
• Track and maintain records for materials, tools, labour deployment, and project progress stages.
• Coach junior technicians and installation personnel to ensure consistent quality of work.
• Assist with after-installation maintenance and offer technical support whenever needed.

Requirements

• Must have more than 2 years of experience in solar rooftop or ground-mounted project execution.
• Should be able to handle manpower and coordinate teams effectively on site.
• Need practical knowledge of solar PV installation, inspection, and commissioning activities.
• Should be comfortable coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including clients, managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Must be able to maintain proper project and material records.
• Educational background should include Diploma in Electrical, Engineering, Electronics, ITI, or B.Tech / B.E. in Energy and Power Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical.
