Overview
This is a new-store opportunity planned for November 2026. The role is for a Shift Lead at B&Q TradePoint Hanworth, TW13 6EZ. The position can be offered as full time or part time, with weekly hours available at 20, 30, or 36.75. It is a permanent contract, paid at £15.40 per hour, with pension support and 6.6 weeks of holiday. Training will be completed in nearby B&Q stores from the end of September, ahead of the provisional opening date. This is a keyholder role, and working hours may fall anywhere between 5:00 am and 10:00 pm, Monday through Sunday.
About the role
As a Shift Lead, you will play an important part in maintaining a safe and positive environment for both customers and colleagues. You will take ownership of your shift, helping ensure smooth store operations and a strong shopping experience every day. The role supports B&Q’s aim of helping every customer feel valued and making the store a place where colleagues want to work and customers want to shop.
What you will do
- Keep daily store activity on track and help ensure the business runs efficiently.
- Assign colleagues appropriately so customer needs are covered throughout your shift.
- Act as the main contact for both customers and team members.
- Maintain a safe store environment at all times.

The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, confident taking responsibility, and comfortable seeing the wider picture across the store rather than focusing on just one area. You should have a strong eye for safety and compliance, enjoy working with others, bring energy to the team, and be comfortable making decisions quickly and independently when needed.
