Role overview
The Service Team Leader oversees a group of automotive technicians responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing customer vehicles. The role combines hands-on workshop support with day-to-day supervision to ensure repair quality, efficiency, and compliance with company standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and actively support a team of technicians performing maintenance, diagnosis, and repair work on vehicles received at the service facility.
- Allocate tasks, set work priorities, and direct technician workloads.
- Review technicians’ output to confirm that quality expectations and company standards are consistently achieved.
- Coach and train technicians on updated processes and procedures.
- Carry out supervisory duties in line with company policies and procedures.
- Review job cards and work orders to verify vehicle condition, diagnosis accuracy, and agreed labor time.
- Request necessary parts, prepare work orders, and generate service documentation and reports when needed.
- Clarify any unclear or inconsistent work orders with the Service Advisor before proceeding.
- Identify the parts and tools needed for each repair or service job and make sure they are available.
- Notify the Service Advisor if additional parts must be ordered.
- Finish routine servicing and repairs within the scheduled time frame.
- Record completed work, including repairs carried out, parts used, and labor involved.
- Document any extra repairs or services performed on the vehicle.
- Note any other issues discovered during servicing and record required follow-up repairs, related parts, labor, and customer approval details.
Requirements
- A diploma or certificate from a technical school or vocational training center related to the field.
- At least 4 years of experience in a dealership service environment handling routine automobile servicing.
- Strong technical understanding of vehicle service needs and fault diagnosis across one or more areas such as mechanical systems, electronics, electrical systems, transmission, or air conditioning.
- Good communication skills.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Arabic language skills are preferred.

This position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia and follows a full-time, onsite work arrangement. The role is suited to candidates who can supervise workshop operations while maintaining strong technical involvement in service and repair activities.
