About Echelon Data Centres

Echelon Data Centres began in 2017 under the leadership of the principal behind Aldgate Developments, a major commercial property developer and owner of premium office assets in Central London and Dublin. The business was created to develop, operate, and own a global network of responsibly designed, sustainably powered data centre campuses built to support the fast-growing demand for hyperscale data processing and storage.

At present, Echelon has seven data centre sites either live or under development across Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Spain, with a combined capacity of around 1.25GW. The recent purchase of a 37-acre site in Italy is the next stage in the company’s expansion into continental Europe.

The Dublin office is looking to add an experienced Project Information Manager to help strengthen and grow the team. This is an opportunity for a motivated professional to develop further in an ambitious and high-performing environment.

Role Overview

The Project Information Manager will oversee how project information is created, controlled, shared, stored, and retained across major mission-critical developments such as data centres, energy centres, substations, and related infrastructure. The position is accountable for information governance on the project, ensuring compliance with contractual, legal, and organisational obligations while enabling efficient delivery, traceable records, and a smooth transition into operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain a clear digital and physical filing system for project records, with secure storage and restricted access where needed.
  • Create, implement, and uphold document control processes, including naming rules, version control, and approval routes.
  • Monitor document revisions so that only the latest approved versions are in circulation.
  • Administer the Common Data Environment and associated document platforms such as Procore, Autodesk Forma, SharePoint, EDMS, and Aconex.
  • Distribute information accurately and on time to project teams, consultants, contractors, and client representatives.
  • Ensure all records align with industry requirements, regulations, company procedures, and ISO-based quality standards.
  • Carry out routine checks of document and information control activities, identify issues, and drive corrective actions.
  • Produce reports on information status, compliance, and audit findings for project leadership and senior management.
  • Support digital improvement initiatives and the ongoing enhancement of information systems and processes.
  • Manage project information from design through construction, commissioning, and final handover.
  • Oversee the archiving of inactive records and ensure retention and disposal follow policy and legal requirements.
  • Define and coordinate handover deliverables, including as-built records, O&M manuals, and asset information.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Design Managers, Project Controls, Commercial, and IT teams to keep information structures aligned with reporting, scheduling, cost, risk, and change management activities.
  • Train and support internal staff and supply chain partners on document control procedures, systems, and good practice.
  • Serve as the main contact for all information management and document control queries on the project.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated background in information management or document control on complex construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
  • Hands-on experience with document management systems such as Procore, Autodesk Forma, SharePoint, EDMS, and Aconex.
  • Strong understanding of document control standards, versioning, and information governance practices.
  • Working knowledge of project management software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Very high attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
  • Strong organisational ability and the capacity to prioritise effectively in a busy, fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong integrity and discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous exposure to mission-critical, data centre, energy, construction, or oil and gas environments.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements and quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or ISO 19650.
  • Experience supporting digital transformation or electronic document management programmes.
  • Knowledge of additional tools such as AutoCAD for drawings or SAP for document tracking.
  • Experience on large-scale projects involving multiple contractors.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to identify information risks and emerging issues early.
  • Capability to influence others and encourage good information management practices.
  • Leadership potential to guide junior colleagues or coordinate small teams.
  • A customer-oriented approach with a strong service focus for internal stakeholders.

Additional Information

All vacancies are handled directly by the internal team. Unsolicited approaches or speculative CVs from unapproved agencies will not be accepted, and no referral fees will be paid.
