Production Line Assembly Operator

Job Summary

The Production Line Assembly Operator is responsible for operating production machinery, keeping equipment in working order, and carrying out cleaning tasks on the line. The role also involves assembling either complete products or individual product components. In an automated assembly environment, the operator may rotate across different production tasks as directed by the immediate supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Work according to production procedures, work instructions, and product specifications.
• Follow all health and safety rules and requirements while on the line.
• Carry out 5S cleanliness activities at the start or end of each shift.
• Complete in-process quality checks on the materials being used.
• Run, monitor, and care for machines and production-line equipment.
• Support production operations and help meet output targets.
• Escalate any technical or operational problems to the shift supervisor.
• Take on other reasonable tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications

Applicants should be able to communicate in the local language in both speaking and writing, with basic English communication preferred. Teamwork is essential, along with a positive work attitude and the flexibility to work across multiple shift patterns if required.

Preferred candidates should have a basic understanding of product quality requirements and must not be color blind.

Education

High school certificate or an equivalent qualification is required.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This role involves frequent sitting, standing, and walking, as well as regular use of a computer and other digital devices. At times, the employee may need to stand for longer periods while supporting meetings or moving around the facility. The physical demands listed here are essential parts of the job and must be performed successfully over extended periods.

Additional Information

The position includes a rotation-based approach to production tasks as needed by the supervisor. It also requires the ability to work in a multi-shift schedule when necessary.
