About the internship
Gray Mobility is looking for a product engineering intern to help shape electric mobility products for commercial use in India and overseas markets. The role sits at the intersection of product planning, engineering documentation, market analysis, and cross-functional coordination.
What you'll do
- Contribute to building and updating product roadmaps for existing and upcoming vehicle platforms.
- Help define product needs, feature sets, and detailed product specifications.
- Draft and maintain Vehicle Technical Specifications (VTS), Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), and related engineering records.
- Compile and manage vehicle-level and system-level Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Carry out market, customer, and competitive research across commercial EV segments in India and global markets.
- Study competing products, pricing, specifications, feature sets, and new technology directions.
- Prepare comparison decks, benchmarking sheets, and presentation material for business reviews.
- Develop technical brochures, flyers, product data sheets, and other marketing support material with engineering and design teams.
- Work with engineering, design, manufacturing, sourcing, and business development teams to monitor product development progress.
- Take on additional assignments from the founders and product leadership as needed.

Other requirements
- You should have strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to solving problems.
- You need solid written communication, documentation, and presentation abilities.
- A working understanding of automotive products or electric vehicles is important.
- You must be able to turn technical inputs into clear, well-organized product documents.
- Comfort with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is expected.
- Exposure to AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks are important.
- Preferred background includes a final-year student or recent graduate in Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Product Design, or an MBA with Operations, Marketing, or Product Management.
- Previous internship or project experience in automotive, mobility, consulting, or product management is preferred.
- Having taken part in BAJA SAE, Formula Bharat, Supra SAE, eBAJA, or similar engineering competitions is an advantage.

Compensation and duration
