Role overview

Medirest is hiring a full-time Porter to support the smooth day-to-day operation of Healthcare services. This position is contracted for 40.25 hours each week and focuses on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, customer care, and overall service support.

The role sits within Compass Group UK&I’s healthcare business, which delivers hotel-style services across NHS Trusts and private hospitals, including catering, domestic support, portering, security, and reception.

Shift pattern: Other.

What you will do

• Keep lobbies and other shared areas clean, orderly, and presentable.
• Support housekeeping, restaurant, and banqueting teams with room set-up and furniture movement.
• Handle selected reception tasks, such as arranging theatre tickets or reserving restaurants.
• Respond to customer requests when needed.
• Complete errands and other practical support tasks.
• Help maintain customer safety by placing and removing warning signs, such as wet floor notices or paint hazard indicators.
