Role Overview

The Payroll & HRIS Coordinator supports payroll operations and HR administration so processes remain accurate, efficient, and compliant. The role is central to ensuring a smooth employee experience by keeping payroll correct, assisting with employee lifecycle activities, and protecting the quality and confidentiality of employee records across internal systems.

Payroll Administration

  • Run payroll accurately and on schedule for employees across multiple locations, including international payroll.
  • Check payroll inputs such as worked hours, deductions, bonuses, commissions, and benefit updates for accuracy.
  • Help with payroll audits, reconciliations, and the resolution of payroll variances.
  • Keep payroll records current and aligned with applicable federal, state/provincial, and local rules.
  • Work with payroll providers and internal teams on payroll-related matters.
  • Assist with year-end payroll tasks, including tax forms and reporting.
  • Handle additional duties as assigned.

HRIS and HR Administration

  • Update and maintain employee data in the HRIS platform.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding by preparing documentation and making system changes.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments and employee changes.
  • Create HR and payroll reports when needed.
  • Maintain employee files while preserving accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Help with HR policies, procedures, and compliance-related records.
  • Answer employee questions related to payroll and HRIS.
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in payroll processing and HR administration.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Strong understanding of payroll practices, wage laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Comfort handling sensitive and confidential information professionally.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with multi-state or international payroll is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Payroll certification such as CPP, PCP, or an equivalent credential is a plus.
