About the Role
Maricopa County is hiring a Multimedia Coordinator to plan, create, and deliver video-based storytelling that supports career awareness in the bioscience and healthcare sectors. The position helps connect K-12 students with practical learning, professional insights, and clearer pathways into growing careers. Most of the work, about 75%, is dedicated to the Exploring Pathways to Bioscience and Healthcare Careers (EPBHC) program, including video projects for teacher professional development, classroom use, the Educator Pro Connect platform, work with industry professionals, and grant reporting metrics. The remaining 25% supports communications, marketing, and branding for the Office of the Maricopa County School Superintendent.
About the Office
The Office of the Maricopa County School Superintendent is led by the elected Superintendent and handles statutory responsibilities such as school governing board elections, bond and override elections, appointments, school finance, and recordkeeping for homeschool and private schools. The office also oversees the Maricopa County accommodation district and supports educational opportunities for at-risk students, including those in detention schools.
Compensation and Job Details
The anticipated salary is $65,000 to $84,750 per year, while the full salary band is $65,000 to $104,500 per year. Final pay is determined by equivalent experience and internal equity within the job classification. This position is not eligible for overtime pay. Job type is listed as Contractor with Benefits.
What You’ll Do
- Create audio-visual content and handle video production, editing, and broadcasting for the EPBHC grant.
- Support internal and external marketing efforts and broader communications objectives for the Superintendent’s Office.
- Produce videos and still images for the County site and social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
- Develop compelling stories through a mix of video and photography styles, using professional lighting and audio-editing practices.
- Work with the Ed Connect, EPBHC, and Marketing teams on web design, graphics, animation, scripts, interactive media, and grant implementation.
- Coordinate the production workflow for multimedia assignments, including brainstorming, meetings with subject-matter experts, and deadline tracking.
- Assist with production and editing for on-demand Bioscience Weeks broadcasts.
- Partner with the Creative Team to promote visual content and media assets.
- Take direction from the Director of Industry and Education Partnerships and the Marketing Team for new video requests and updates to existing videos.
- Record live-talent and interview-style video segments.
Working Conditions
This role splits time between office-based work and outdoor environments. It may also require occasional off-site filming or photography during non-standard working hours.
