Role Summary

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the setup, upkeep, and troubleshooting of Viatris (Mylan Teoranta) automated vial and syringe filling equipment, along with maintenance and repair work on plant equipment and utilities. The role supports the company’s progress toward maintenance excellence by applying best-in-class practices.

Key Duties

• Carry out setup, planned maintenance, and fault diagnosis on automated vial and syringe filling systems.
• Maintain equipment and utilities while ensuring all work is recorded in line with GMP expectations.
• Coordinate with external contractors during equipment installations and scheduled service activities when needed.
• Track and manage spare parts, consumables, and services so equipment maintenance schedules stay compliant.
• Help build and apply a Reliability Centered Maintenance approach using FMECA/FMEA methods, working with department leaders, reliability engineering, and production teams, and using tools such as trend analysis, control charts, and data review.
• Assist in preparing and updating maintenance and calibration documents such as preventive maintenance records, data sheets, work instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
• Support work tied to safety events, quality events, CAPAs, change control, and investigations, including helping resolve electrical and mechanical equipment issues.
• Make sure maintenance routines, procedures, and work plans meet required standards and industry best practice to support cGMP and EHS compliance.
• Follow local, global, and regulatory cGMP and EHS requirements at all times.
• Be flexible to work overtime, cover shifts, take on-call duties, and handle other tasks assigned by the company.

Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate should bring a combination of technical training and practical experience, along with strong communication and problem-solving ability. The role requires someone comfortable working across multiple priorities and able to produce clear technical documentation and reports.

• Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, together with relevant hands-on experience; however, a suitable mix of education and experience will also be considered.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Experience with conflict handling and negotiation.
• Sound judgment and structured decision-making.
• Computer-literate, including Word, Excel, and preventive maintenance systems.
• Capability to prepare reports and deliver presentations.
• Ability to juggle several projects and activities at the same time.
• Good analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read general business documents and prepare technical reports.
• Comfortable working with colleagues and communicating effectively.
• Physical capacity to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb steps, and use arms and hands for lifting, scooping, pushing, rolling, or moving items with lifting equipment when required.
• May need to wear personal protective equipment, including respiratory protection, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, and protective clothing.
• Medium to heavy lifting may be required.
