Junior Data Analyst

About the role

We are looking for an entry-level Junior Data Analyst who can help gather, prepare, review, and interpret data for reporting and business decision-making. This position is well suited to recent graduates or professionals at the start of their careers who enjoy working with data, solving problems, and converting numbers into practical business insights.

Key responsibilities

• Gather data from multiple sources, clean it, and structure it for analysis and reporting.
• Examine datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and meaningful business takeaways.
• Create and update dashboards, reports, and visual summaries that support decision-making.
• Track KPIs and other business metrics and help monitor performance.
• Perform data checks, validation, and quality assurance to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and analysis goals.
• Contribute to automated reporting methods and better data workflows.
• Prepare concise summaries, presentations, and analytical reports for leadership.
• Assist with ad hoc analysis and business intelligence initiatives.
• Work closely with operations, finance, marketing, and product teams to deliver insights.

Requirements

• Foundational understanding of data analysis, statistics, and reporting.
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, and analytical features.
• SQL knowledge for querying data is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar visualization platforms is a plus.
• Basic understanding of databases and data management practices.
• Exposure to Python or R is helpful, though not mandatory.
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Careful attention to detail and accuracy.
• Clear communication and presentation skills.
• A bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred.
