Job Overview
Alkhorayef Water & Power Technologies (AWPT) is hiring an IT Help Desk Support professional to assist employees with technical issues and keep day-to-day IT operations running smoothly. This role focuses on resolving common hardware, software, printer, and network problems while maintaining a high standard of customer support.
What You’ll Do
- Act as the first point of contact for technical support requests through phone, email, remote tools, or face-to-face assistance.
- Identify and fix issues related to computers, software, printers, and network connectivity.
- Install, set up, and support desktops, laptops, and other connected devices.
- Create user and email accounts and manage access rights as needed.
- Deploy operating system updates, software upgrades, and security patches.
- Record, monitor, and close support cases within agreed service timelines.
- Forward more complex technical problems to senior IT colleagues when required.
- Keep clear records of incidents, resolutions, and IT equipment inventory.
- Provide support for Microsoft 365 tools and carry out basic Active Directory tasks.
- Work in line with internal IT policies and security requirements.
Requirements
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
- Between 1 and 2 years of experience in help desk, technical support, or a similar IT support function.
- Solid working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Exposure to Active Directory and ticket management systems.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
