Position Overview
This opening is for a Frontend Engineer focused on working with coding agents and evaluating AI-assisted engineering output. The role is remote and offered on a contract basis.
What You’ll Do
- Work with advanced AI coding agents to solve and assess challenging engineering problems.
- Check AI-produced frontend code for correctness, code quality, long-term maintainability, accessibility, and speed.
- Spot defects, unusual cases, and likely failure points in model-generated results.
- Benchmark outputs from different frontier models and identify where each one performs well or poorly.
- Use sound engineering judgment to make decisions in realistic frontend development scenarios.
Required Background
Candidates should have at least 2 years of professional frontend development experience and hands-on experience with modern web stacks such as React, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar tools. Regular use of AI coding assistants is expected, including tools like Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, or comparable alternatives. You should also be able to judge AI-generated frontend implementations, UI structure, and performance improvements effectively.
Preferred Experience
Experience contributing to large-scale consumer-facing or enterprise software is a plus.
Compensation and Terms
The role pays $85 per hour. The posting also notes compensation of $400 for each accepted task, with payment dependent on approved work.
