Executive Sous Chef

About the role

This luxury lifestyle hotel in Doha is looking for a seasoned Executive Sous Chef to strengthen its culinary leadership team. In this position, you will work hand in hand with the Executive Chef to run kitchen operations across several lively restaurants, dining concepts, and event areas. The role calls for a high standard of consistency, creativity, and visual presentation in a busy, guest-oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Executive Chef in managing the full range of culinary activities across the hotel.
• Guide, coach, and inspire the kitchen team while building a supportive and cooperative work environment.
• Ensure every outlet and banquet function meets the same high expectations for taste, plating, and hygiene.
• Take part in planning menus, controlling food costs, and overseeing stock levels.
• Maintain smooth and efficient operations during peak service times and special events.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should already have experience as an Executive Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a luxury hospitality setting. You should bring strong leadership in the kitchen, a genuine passion for culinary excellence, and a focus on memorable guest experiences. A sound understanding of food safety and day-to-day kitchen operations is essential, along with the ability to stay effective in a high-pressure, high-volume environment. Strong communication and organizational abilities are also important.

Compensation and benefits

The total annual package is approximately USD 89,434, offered tax-free and inclusive of base salary plus housing and transport allowances. The package also includes annual leave, public holidays, private medical coverage, end-of-service benefits, complimentary meals, and preferred hotel and dining rates for the employee, family, and friends. Training, development, and advancement opportunities are also part of the offer.
