Executive Pastry Chef

Role Overview

As the Executive Pastry Chef at The Plaza Doha, LXR Hotels & Resorts, you will lead the pastry kitchen and shape the dessert program for the property. The position calls for a hands-on culinary leader who can encourage creativity, guide the team, and consistently deliver premium pastries, breads, desserts, and baked goods that elevate the guest experience.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Oversee the pastry department’s daily operations to ensure smooth service, high standards, and consistent output across all outlets and banquet events.
• Supervise the preparation of breads, viennoiserie, pastries, desserts, and specialty items so they align with brand expectations and delight guests.
• Design and introduce seasonal dessert offerings, signature pastries, and fresh ideas that keep the hotel’s culinary program current and appealing.
• Ensure every item is finished and presented with accuracy, originality, and strong attention to detail.
• Handle purchasing, stock control, production scheduling, and rotation of ingredients to keep inventory balanced, reduce waste, and support food cost goals.
• Recruit, train, coach, and motivate the pastry team while setting clear standards, tracking performance, and building a cooperative, high-achieving culture.
• Maintain strict compliance with health, hygiene, sanitation, and food safety requirements, and support a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
