Environmental Services Technician - FT

About the Role

Vitality Living is hiring an Environmental Services Technician for its Hearthwood at Athens community in Watkinsville, Georgia. This position is part of a community-focused environment that values individuality, inclusion, and meaningful relationships with residents, families, and team members.

Key Duties

• Carry out routine preventive maintenance tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Strip, wax, and buff floors on a regular schedule and whenever unexpected needs arise.
• Move furniture and equipment, and help residents with moving-related needs when required.
• Support grounds upkeep, including tasks such as summer weeding and winter snow removal.
• Maintain cooperative working relationships with residents, coworkers, physicians, families, consultants, and other service providers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three to five years of experience painting or working with wallcoverings in a residential environment.
• Experience with electrical and plumbing tasks.
• Strong English communication skills, including the ability to read, write, understand, and relay simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to use practical judgment to follow detailed but straightforward written or spoken instructions.
• Willingness to be available for community emergencies and on-call responsibilities.
