Design Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

neospaces is building a new approach to commercial real estate brokerage, combining proprietary software with hands-on service and nationwide coverage. The platform is meant to help brokers work more effectively by bringing together lead generation, qualification, market intelligence, and other core workflows in one place. This role is for a Design Engineer who can take work all the way from concept to production instead of passing mockups to someone else. You will work at the intersection of design and engineering, shaping interfaces in Figma and implementing them in code.

Role details

• On-site, full-time, senior-level position

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the interface workflow, from visual design through to coded delivery using React, TypeScript, and modern CSS
• Develop and evolve the design system, including reusable components, design tokens, and shared patterns used across the product and website
• Create and refine the marketing website and product experience, including layout, interactions, motion, and visual polish
• Turn product goals and brand direction into interfaces that are clear, fast, and accessible
• Produce quick prototypes and then convert the strongest direction into production-ready implementations
• Collaborate closely with founders, engineers, and brokers in short feedback cycles that directly affect the product

Requirements

• A portfolio that demonstrates both strong design judgment and real shipped code
• Solid front-end expertise with React, TypeScript, and modern CSS, combined with a design-system approach
• Strong command of Figma and attention to typography, spacing, layout, and motion
• A mindset that favors reusable components and systems over isolated screens
• Confidence in owning features from a blank slate through deployment
• Extra value if you have worked with animation tools, 3D/WebGL, or high-performance marketing sites
• Self-motivated, meticulous, and able to move quickly
• Business-level English; German is an advantage
