Role Overview

The Data & Reporting Analyst with Tableau and Alteryx experience will turn complex information into useful insights that help teams make better decisions. What You’ll Do

  • Partner with business analysts and end users to understand reporting needs and translate them into accurate data outputs.
  • Maintain recurring weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly dashboards and reports used by the business.
  • Look for ways to automate reporting tasks and simplify workflows for better efficiency.
  • Build, test, and validate new reports, dashboards, and data processes of straightforward complexity.
  • Support data accuracy, consistency, and reliability through continuous improvement practices and standardized reporting.
  • Strengthen reporting work across tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and Alteryx.
  • Carry out detailed data analysis, mapping, and validation to support business understanding and decisions.
  • Work with data warehouse universes and databases using tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Python, and BI platforms.
  • Create models and methods to review business performance, measure risk exposure, and explain variances from plan across sales, claims, staffing, and operating expenses.
  • Maintain forecasting models that estimate business demand and results for simple scenarios.
  • Perform basic financial analysis, including cost-benefit and decision-support work.
  • Handle ad hoc analysis requests that improve team efficiency and deliver practical recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in data analysis, ideally in insurance, financial services, or operations consulting.
  • Hands-on experience with Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Business Objects, Tableau, and Alteryx.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data-backed findings to business partners.
  • Ability to interpret complex data structures and perform data validation and mapping.
  • Exposure to SQL, SAS, or similar tools is preferred, or a willingness to learn them.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to coordinate small report-development projects.
