Role Overview

The Data Analyst – Operations supports CAVA’s Restaurant & Catering operations by turning raw data into clear insights, reporting, and dashboards. This role works closely with Data Product Managers to make sure data is accurate, useful, and aligned with enterprise standards. It also supports both immediate ad-hoc requests and longer-term reporting needs.

This position is part of the Data Product team supporting Restaurant & Catering Operations.

What You Will Do

• Prepare, clean, query, and transform datasets for analysis and reporting.
• Check the accuracy of data used in new metrics, dashboards, and other analytical tools.
• Handle both one-off analytics requests and ongoing strategic reporting work.
• Build interactive dashboards and reports that fit business needs and follow UX best practices.
• Use enterprise visualization templates to keep branding and presentation consistent.
• Improve dashboards so they are scalable, easy to use, and performant.
• Collaborate with Data Product Managers to understand business needs and definitions.
• Partner with Data Engineers to align on business logic and data source integration.
• Create and apply data quality checks that support governance requirements.
• Work with product owners to refine designs and enhance the end-user experience.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence.
• Hands-on ability with SQL or Python for querying and transforming data.
• Strong working knowledge of visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Comfort working with both structured and semi-structured data.
• Strong attention to detail and solid problem-solving ability.
• Experience using Python or R for data preparation and analysis is preferred.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks is preferred.
• Knowledge of data governance and quality assurance practices is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain seated and use a computer and related office equipment.
• Ability to notice, evaluate, and interpret details accurately.
• For some roles, occasional lifting or moving of items up to 50 pounds may be required.
• Ability to communicate and exchange information clearly and accurately.
• Ability to move around as needed to support restaurant, food production, or office operations.
• Ability to stay alert and work safely at all times.

Compensation and Benefits

Benefits Eligibility
